Roederer Cristal Brut 2014 Champagne

In the history of the great wines of Champagne, Cristal Brut by Louis Roederer is unique. 2014 was a sun-drenched year, in which fruit and finesse found an excellent expression. A radiant, exceedingly charming and promising Cristal is already emerging. Of the 45 historic parcels of the Domaine Cristal, only 39 were selected, whose grapes best reflected the character of this unique wine: pure fruit, pronounced fineness, and noble breeding.

Taste:
Intense bubbles permeate the Brut Cristal with luminous, golden yellow, slightly amber shimmer in the glass. The particularly pure aromas of the exceedingly opulent, wonderfully ripe Cristal 2014 reveal themselves with surprising lightness. The fruity expression of the Champagne merges with an intense chalky freshness that appears powdery and salty and has an exceptionally graceful length.

Production:
Only in good years does the cellar master decide to produce a vintage Champagne. Louis Roederer Cristal is only produced in those "great years" when the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir achieve their perfect ripeness. The Vintage cuvée consists of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay and is aged on the lees for an average of 6 years. After disgorgement, the wine rests for at least 8 months to complete its maturation. Its texture is pronounced and creamy, contrasting with its freshness.

Serving suggestion:
Enjoy chilled at 8-10°C. The freshness of this Roederer Brut Cristal is excellent as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to seafood, poultry, and spicy cheese.
