This Brut Rosé Vintage 2012 will be remembered for the difficulties of this particular vintage. Despite low yields, outstanding levels of ripeness were achieved, resulting in great wines characterized by an intense aromatic richness and a beautiful structure.
Taste:
Intense bubbles permeate the Brut Vintage, which appears golden-pink with brilliant reflections in the glass. The intense bouquet reveals ripe fruits (blackcurrants) as well as candied orange, along with delicate notes of orange blossoms and Madagascar vanilla. A very robust, slowly opening, deep, sweet bouquet. Round and full on the attack. A sunny wine with tactile effects (velvety texture). Spherical (a sweetish, almost liqueur-like impression) and at the same time profound, with a fresh, chalky finish accompanied by notes of hazelnut and cocoa beans.
Production:
Only in good years does the cellar master decide to produce a vintage champagne. These primarily include the first vineyards acquired by the house. The Brut Rosé Vintage cuvée consists of 63% Pinot Noir and 37% Chardonnay and is aged on its lees for an average of 4 years. After disgorgement, the wine rests for at least 6 months to complete its maturation.
Serving suggestion:
Enjoy chilled at 8-10°C. The freshness of this Roederer Brut Rosé Vintage is excellent as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to seafood, fish, poultry, and pastries such as biscuits with ripe red berries.
