Tradition and Brand History
Thomas Hine & Co. was founded by Thomas Hine, originally from Dorset in England, who settled in Jarnac and married into the Delamain cognac family at the end of the 18th century. The house was officially renamed Thomas Hine & Co. in 1817. It remains family-owned to this day and was awarded the Royal Warrant by Queen Elizabeth II in 1962, making it the only cognac house with this distinction.
Serving & Pairing
Excellent neat in a tulip glass: fresh, fragrant, and a cognac to be savored.
Also used in premium cocktails (e.g., Sidecar, Vieux Carré), although connoisseurs prefer to enjoy it neat to fully appreciate its balance between fruit and oak.
Pairs wonderfully with dried fruits, crème brûlée, roasted nuts, or rich chocolate desserts.
Classification & Blend
Fine Champagne Cognac, exclusively from eaux-de-vie from the Grande and Petite Champagne crus, with at least 50% from Grande Champagne.
