Made from grapes grown in the heart of Mesnil-sur-Oger, the 2006 vintage showcases the full potential of this exceptional
growing region and its high-quality grapes. Krug Clos du Mesnil, a true rarity, is a pure and fresh Blanc des Blancs Champagne.
After 12 years in Krug's cellars, it is astonishingly precise and will undoubtedly age gracefully.
Color:
Golden like ripe wheat.
Aroma:
Fine notes of citrus, barley sugar, and dried fruit on the nose.
Taste:
On the palate, it is generous and round, with notes of madeleines and brioche, followed by Tarte Tatin and lemon meringue.
Food Pairings:
Perfect with fish and seafood.
Try flounder in saffron sauce, pan-seared scallops, or tuna carpaccio.
A delicately spiced French veal stew would also be suitable.
