The Edradour 12 y.o. – Madeira Casks not only underwent a full maturation in First Fill Madeira Hogsheads, but it was also distilled and bottled on a February 29th.
This Highland Single Malt Scotch is thus as curious as it is complex. Bottled as a Small Batch, it consists of a total of ten casks that were pre-filled with the fortified wine from the Portuguese island. They complemented the robust, malty Highland Single Malt with a blend of spicy, fruity-sweet notes of raisins, plums, and baking spices. With an elevated drinking strength of 48.2% vol. and thanks to the absence of chill-filtration, this leap year Scotch fully showcases its flavors with a full-bodied character.
