The year
The year 2002 was characterized by contrasting weather, with an unusual water shortage in midsummer. While August was generally gray and rainy, September proved to be exceptionally sunny, albeit interrupted by a series of heavy downpours. The combination of wind and warmth contributed to a concentration of fruit, a unique phenomenon that lasted until the end of the harvest, which began on September 14. The almost oversized aromatic ripeness of the Chardonnay proves to be a striking feature of this vintage.

On the nose
Dom Pérignon P2 2002 captivates with its warm, toasted, and bright bouquet, with a hint of oriental exoticism. The warm aromas of candied fruits and frangipane blend with nuances of mild spices and fresh coriander leaves. Above all, accents of saffron, which lend intensity and a mysterious expression.

On the palate
On the palate: opulent, dynamic, and sensual, dominated by fruity notes. In an interplay of nose and palate, the initially prevailing opulence transitions into a hint of salt and licorice.
