Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Sherry cask maturation in its fruitiest and most opulent form. Baked fruit salad with figs, pears, apricots, and glacé cherries in mandarin syrup. Honey-glazed flan with crème caramel and roasted vanilla bean. Layered sweetness. Taste: A rich fruit cocktail of honeyed fig, baked pineapple, and sultanas, blended with chocolate fondant and muscovado sugar, elevated by mandarin cream, ground nutmeg, and vanilla. Finish: Nectarine, candied grapes, and star anise linger in the dessert-like sherry finish.

BenRiach Distillery is known for doing things a little differently than others. To experience a true whisky adventure, the distillery's founder, John Duff, traveled to Kentucky and South Africa. Upon his return to Scotland in 1898, he built the BenRiach Distillery in the beautiful Speyside. It is due to his adventurous spirit that BenRiach unconventionally explores the art of distillation and cask maturation, pushing the boundaries of malt alchemy like no other. BenRiach distills three malt whisky styles – unpeated, peated, and triple distilled – and holds some of the most experimental casks in Speyside. The distillery is also one of only two remaining distilleries in the province that distill a small proportion of their whiskies from malted barley from their own in-house floor maltings, a time-honored craft celebrated for one month each year.
