Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Fresh, green orchard fruits, ginger, notes of tangerine and creamy vanilla, as well as a delicate hint of mint and a gentle touch of citrus.
Taste: Warm toasted oak spices. Green apple peels and dried apricots ripen into notes of peach and soft bananas with a contrast of anise and lemon zest.
Finish: Long-lasting with plenty of oak and barley aromas, pleasantly sweet.
Distillery Info:
BenRiach Distillery is known for doing things a little differently than others. To experience a true whisky adventure, the founder of the distillery, John Duff, traveled to Kentucky and South Africa. Upon his return to Scotland in 1898, he built the BenRiach Distillery in beautiful Speyside. It is thanks to his adventurous spirit that BenRiach unconventionally explores the art of distillation and cask maturation, pushing the boundaries of malt alchemy like no other. BenRiach distills three malt whisky styles - unpeated, peated, and triple distilled - and holds some of the most experimental casks in Speyside. The distillery is also one of only two remaining distilleries in the province that distills a small proportion of its whiskies from malted barley from its own in-house floor maltings, a time-honored craft celebrated for one month each year.
