Crafted by Maison Les Alexandrins, a boutique venture co-founded by Nicolas Jaboulet and Alexandre Caso, specializing in terroir-driven wines from the Northern Rhône Valley. Their Les Garennes parcel is situated on stony, pebble-rich soils around the villages of Pont-d'Isère and Beaumont-Montéux, planted with old vines (~20 years old) to allow for complexity and balance.
Winemaking & Vintage
The blend is 60% Roussanne and 40% Marsanne, following classic proportions for a Crozes-Hermitage Blanc. Grapes are hand-picked and vinified with minimal intervention, respecting tradition.
After a gentle pressing, the wine was fermented and then aged on its lees for approximately 6 to 9 months in a mix of demi-muids (600-liter barrels) and concrete egg-shaped vessels, achieving a balance between roundness and minerality.
The 2023 vintage was characterized by a mild winter, followed by spring rains and a hot, drought-stricken summer with hail. Harvesting occurred from August 17 to September 20, requiring precision to preserve acidity and aromatic purity.
