2022 Terrazas De Los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2022 Terrazas de los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon, presented in a new design, is fruit-driven, fresh, and exceptionally versatile, making it enjoyable not only on its own but also with a wide variety of dishes.
For this vintage, the focus was more on elegance than on powerful expression. The grapes were harvested early and fresh, as overripening would have compromised the wine's vibrant, fruity, and spicy aromas.

Blend and Origin:
Terrazas de los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of grapes from 25 parcels located in four organically farmed vineyards at higher altitudes. The fruit from Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley grows at altitudes between 1000 and 1200 meters. They are harvested early and fresh and gently macerated for 15 to 20 days, allowing the wine's proper tannin structure to be slowly and precisely extracted while maintaining its elegance. Aging takes place for 12 months in oak barrels (new to four times used), while a portion remains in tanks to preserve the freshness and purity of the fruit.

Aroma: On the nose, there are fresh aromas of red and black fruits such as blackcurrant and blueberry, complemented by spicy notes like thyme, rosemary, and cardamom. These are followed by full-bodied aromas such as hazelnut cream, vanilla, and caramel.

Taste: On the palate, there is a balanced acidity and fruitiness with a juicy mouthfeel, rounded off by aromas of blackcurrant and sweet, complex tannins.

Serving Suggestion: Cabernet Sauvignon pairs excellently with game meats such as rabbit, venison, and wild boar, as well as lamb and other grilled red meats. It also makes an excellent pairing with aromatic herbs and spices such as rosemary, thyme, bay leaf, and cinnamon. For desserts, dark chocolate, plums, figs, and raspberries are ideal.
