Tasting Notes:
Nose: Vanilla, apples and ripe plums.
Palate: Toffee, oranges, pepper and honey.
Finish: Medium length, with a hint of sweetness.
Hunter Laing & Co. Ltd. is a third-generation family business focused on bottling the finest Scottish Single Malts.
Stewart H. Laing is now supported by his sons Scott and Andrew. As single cask bottlers with great ambition, they select only casks of the highest quality. Company founder Stewart H. Laing acquired his incomparable knowledge during his 50 years in the whisky industry.
He received his training at the Islay distillery Bruichladdich, followed by work as a blender and as a bottler of the finest Single Malt Scotch Whiskies. Finally, he joined his father Frederick and successfully expanded the "Old & Rare" and "Old Malt Cask" series.
Some of the now stored casks were acquired by Frederick Laing throughout Scotland. Some from distilleries that unfortunately no longer exist today. It is thanks to Frederick Laing's foresight that we are able to taste these exceptional malts.
