With Signatory Small Batch Edition #9, winter can come

They are sought after for blends - celebrated as single malts: bottlings from the Linkwood Distillery from the whisky heartland of Speyside. These form the basis for a new edition of our Signatory Small Batch series, which we have designed exclusively for the German market. For the bottlings we initiated, we select the casks together with our long-standing partner Signatory Vintage - and always at least three. In this case: one Sherry Butt and two Refill Hogsheads, in which the Linkwood distillery style and Sherry character combine delightfully.

Our Signatory Small Batch Edition #9 matured in the casks for 13 years - enough time for the limited-availability Single Malt to naturally develop its radiant amber color. The Scotch, with a slightly increased drinking strength of 48.1% vol., has also amply drawn from the selected Hogsheads and the Sherry Butt in terms of taste: With magnificent Sherry aromas, notes of cherry and dark chocolate, and hints of gingerbread spice, it is the ideal dram to get in the mood for the coming season.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Strong Sherry aromas accompanied by honey dominate, the bright fruity Linkwood distillery character emerges in the background.

Palate: Dark fruits such as cherries and currants combine with dark chocolate, mocha, and subtle oak tones.

Finish: The whisky lingers with spices such as gingerbread and white pepper. Dark chocolate and red fruity notes reappear.
