Tasting Notes:
Nose: The single malt has a malty and very fresh scent of red roses. Notes of milk chocolate smoothly transition to the aroma of warm vanilla pudding. This is complemented by the sweetness of dried fruit and a perfumed elegance. On the nose, it's like a walk through a freshly cut hayfield.
Taste: Lively and exuberant, the palate presents the spice of white pepper and cloves, followed by the dry sweetness of salted caramel, which pleasantly coats the mouth. Also: hints of malt biscuits and sherry.
Finish: Oily and dry, the whisky causes a delightful puckering of the lips on the finish.
Distillery Information:
Ireland's southeast is sunny and pampered by the warmth of the Gulf Stream. Temperate, moist air blows over fertile soils, creating a lush green landscape - and perhaps some of the best barley in the world. At least that's what Waterford claims.
